General 2015-05-10The Wilton Project (EPC 1235 and MDL 463) is adjacent to a number of large established mines and within convenient access to existing rail and port infrastructure. The upgraded Gregory/Blackwater railway line which traverses the tenement connects the project to Gladstone's export coal facilities. High voltage electricity supply and water storage are also in close proximity to the project. The tenement is underlain by the Permian sediments and coal seams of the Burngrove and Fairhill Formations within the Fort Cooper Coal Measures (FCCM) which occur from surface. Extensive core drilling and detailed coal analysis has revealed the coal from the Wilton Project has the appropriate chemistry for a high quality hard coking coal product. Furthermore, the project features a very low Run of Mine (ROM) strip ratio over the life of the mine. The project's large Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) inferred ROM resource is currently being updated. Queensland Coal Corporation has recently completed a number of detailed beneficiation studies, including a coal analysis program involving handling and characterisation on raw and crushed samples.
