Calingri Information

  • Geology 2015-06-07
The high metamorphic grade of the bedrock provides some ambiguity when determining the mineralisation model of the prospects drilled to date. Several mineralisation styles are considered plausible within the project area: Porphyry copper and/or Skarn - molybdenum systems associated with large felsic intrusives (Porphyry Style) and/or thermal aureole related systems (Skarn Style). Volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) systems. (modified by metamorphic/structural overprint). Supergene copper deposits (associated with near surface oxidation of any primary mineralised systems).
  • Project Metallurgy 2015-06-07
Preliminary mineralogical and metallurgical investigations on material from the Dasher, Bindi and Opie drilling have indicated that the sulphide mineralisation is dominantly chalcopyrite which in standard flotation processes should result in both relatively high copper recoveries and a high quality concentrate. Leading Perth consultants SGS Lakefield Oretest completed the testwork at each propsect. Favorable rougher flotation recoveries were reported for all key elements as tabulated below. Deleterious materials such as arsenic are in low abundance.
  • Exploration 2015-06-07
An Exploration Target is conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to estimate a Mineral Resource in compliance with the JORC Code and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the estimation of a Mineral Resource as defined by the JORC Code. The Exploration Targets are based on systematic drilling, actual exploration results and robust geological models - extended only 100m beyond both the most northerly and southerly drill sections and to vertical depths of 300m (Bindi and Opie), and 450m (Dasher).
  • General 2015-06-07
The Calingiri Project comprises a discovery of a regional copper-molybdenum-gold mineralised belt in a previously unexplored part of the Yilgarn Craton, located 120km northeast of Perth. Within the 30km trend, six isolated prospects have been tested with ground geophysics and subsequent reverse circulation (RC) and limited deeper diamond core drilling. Broad intervals of disseminated copper sulphide (chalcopyrite) and associated molybdenum mineralisation have been intersected at several areas including the Dasher, Bindi, Opie, Ninan North and Ninan South prospects.
