General 2015-05-10Malanjkhand Copper Project was established in 1982 and is the largest copper deposit in India.The initial project was set up by Hindustan Copper Ltd to exploit the copper ore through an open pit mine. Geological Survey of India took systematic geological exploration at this deposit during 1969. Mining lease of the ore was granted to HCL during 1973. With advancement of time this project was enhanced with viable operational developments.
